If you attended the Mad Vegas expo last year, you know it wasn't a "business as usual" business expo.  Many attendees came in character and ready to have fun.  This year, we're back with our Roaring 20's Biz Bash!  It will be hosted at Straight to Ale.  The Twickenham Jazz & Swing band will be performing, helping us create that 20s atmosphere.

Both the Huntsville and Madison Chambers will be joining us this year to conduct ribbon cuttings for any Network members who are also a member of one chamber or both.  If you've been thinking about holding your chamber ribbon cutting at the chamber, why not do it at an event that promises to have a lot of attendees instead.  Contact us for ribbon cutting details (must be a member of one of the chambers or planning on joining one).  Booth Vendors do not need to be chamber members since it is a Network event.

Finally, we have been able to set our Alternative Income Expo.  The expo will focus on work from home, jobs with flexible schedules, job sharing, etc.  This is more of a targeted recruiting event.

If you represent a direct sales company and want to participate, please get your application in as quickly as possible.  We will only allow one table per company or brand.   Contact us to see if your spot is open.

Join us for one of these great networking/business education/business relationship/branding events.  Find them all on the Calendar.

MOB members and guests welcomed Mayor Battle to their May luncheon. Mayor Battle discussed the environment for small to medium businesses in Huntsville. Attendees were able to have their questions answered afterwards. Some of the questions Mayor Battle addressed were:

How can the city work harder to help small businesses, especially in the service industry, the plans for Madison Square Mall and Joe Davis Stadium and the advanced fiber network infrastructure, keeping education focused on history, geography and the arts as well as technology, the City of Huntsville's interest in promoting events and projects like the "Inside Out" art project and how to keep the city growing without increased sales and property taxation that has happened in other areas.
